Complete Beginner
Ocean safety, reading rip currents, efficient paddle mechanics, pop-up stance, and balance in waist-deep whitewater.
Morocco surf lessons · two hours in the ocean · max five surfers per coach
Learn to surf in Morocco with dedicated, small-group instruction. We strictly cap groups at five surfers per coach, provide high-grade boards and wetsuits, and drive to whichever Taghazout Bay break offers the safest, cleanest waves for your ability each morning.

The ideal learning arena
The coastline north of Agadir—spanning Anza, Tamraght, and Taghazout—provides one of the world's most versatile natural surf classrooms. A gentle gradient of sandy beaches, protected bays, and peeling point breaks guarantees manageable waves regardless of Atlantic swell size.
Warm winter air (20–25°C), mild water, and light morning offshore winds provide comfortable conditions for two-hour coaching sessions all year round.
We don't teach on one static beach. Our coaches inspect live conditions each morning and transport the group to the break that offers the safest, cleanest waves for your skill level.
Unlike factory surf schools that herd 10–15 beginners into the foam, we strictly limit each group to five surfers. You get personalized tips after every single wave.
Coaching curriculum
Ocean safety, reading rip currents, efficient paddle mechanics, pop-up stance, and balance in waist-deep whitewater.

Generating speed, deep compression on bottom turns, cutbacks back to the pocket, and lineup etiquette.
Your instructor
A successful surf lesson comes down to who is standing beside you in the ocean. Jamal was born and raised along this coast, reading these sandbanks and tides since childhood.

How your day works
Coach Jamal checks swell, wind, and tide, then selects the best beach for the morning window.
15-minute warmup, ocean hazard review (rips, sandbars, entries), and land-based drill repetitions.
Hands-on coaching in the lineup. The coach positions you, pushes when needed, and corrects your stance.
Hot Moroccan mint tea on the beach, wave feedback, and concrete drills for your next session.
Our coaching spots
Depending on daily swell direction, we rotate between the four cleanest beginner-friendly breaks along Taghazout Bay:
Wide sandy bays with multiple gentle peaks. Perfect for first whitewater takeoffs and building pop-up confidence without any rocks or sharp reefs.
Sandy point setups that produce long, slow-rolling green waves. Ideal for improvers practicing paddling into unbroken waves and trimming along the face.
A consistent swell magnet that produces clean, punchy waves even when northern bays are flat. Great sand break paired with an authentic fishing village vibe.
Africa's longest wave. We run day trips to Imsouane for our camp guests when the swell aligns, offering 800-metre glides over pure sand.
