The coastal neighbourhood base
Who is an Anza surf camp best for?
Anza suits travellers who want a lower shared-room entry price, an Agadir-side arrival and a coastal neighbourhood outside the main Taghazout village circuit. You sleep at Grip Sea Morocco in Anza, while coached sessions can take place elsewhere in the bay.
From Agadir Al Massira airport, plan roughly 30–35 minutes by road to Anza, depending on traffic. The beach is close, but the house address does not promise an Anza Beach lesson every day. Jamal chooses a manageable spot after checking the group and the water.
If a quieter surf-village setting matters more than airport proximity or entry price, see our Kymata week in Tamraght. For a wider comparison, read Anza, Tamraght and Taghazout explained.

The place and the lesson are separate decisions
Will we surf at Anza Beach?
Sometimes. Anza is an exposed beach with shifting sandbanks. Its suitability changes with tide, swell, wind, crowd and the group’s ability. Staying in Anza gives you a real Anza base; coaching follows the safer, more useful conditions rather than a fixed beach promise.
Read the beach today
The coach assesses the surf and safe entry before the group heads into the water.
Choose for your level
Beginners and returning surfers may need a different sand break from confident intermediates.
Use the included ride
If Anza does not fit, surf transport takes the group to a better-suited option in the bay.
Read our Anza Beach surf-spot guide for local detail, and the RNLI surfing safety guidance before travelling. Conditions are always assessed on the day.
The coaching rhythm
What happens during a week based in Anza?
The seven-night stay includes six surf days, each with a two-hour coached session, and one rest day. This is the decision flow for a typical day, not a fixed timetable or a guaranteed surf spot.

A named coach
A small group with a known lead coach.
Jamal leads Morocco Surf Club’s coaching. He has instructed around Taghazout Bay since 2014 and works in English, French, Arabic and Spanish. The five-surfer cap applies per coach during the session, regardless of which house you stay in.

Quick answers
Anza surf camp questions
Clear answers about the base, beach choice, price and booking.
Is there a small-group surf camp actually based in Anza?
Yes. Morocco Surf Club hosts Surf & Stay guests at Grip Sea Morocco in Anza. Coached groups are capped at 5 surfers per coach; that is a water-coaching ratio, not the number of people who may stay in the house.
How much is a seven-night surf camp in Anza?
The shared-room entry at Grip Sea Morocco is €360 per person for seven nights, checked 2026-10-01. The final room, dates and total appear in a written quote before any deposit.
Will every lesson take place at Anza Beach?
No. Anza is an exposed beach. The coach assesses swell, wind, tide, crowd and group ability each day, then can travel to a more suitable break in Taghazout Bay. No specific wave or beach is guaranteed.
Is Anza suitable for a first-time surfer?
A beginner can stay at the Anza base. The lesson beach is chosen for the conditions and learner level on the day; if Anza is too powerful or crowded, the group moves. Every session starts with a safety brief.
What does the Anza Surf & Stay price include?
Seven nights at Grip Sea Morocco, a two-hour coached session on each of six surf days, board and wetsuit, rides to the selected surf break, breakfast each day and four dinners. Lunches, three dinners, flights, travel insurance, airport transfer and upgrades are extra.
Can I join alone or request a private room?
Yes. Solo guests can ask about a shared-room place or a private room. The entry price is for one shared-room place; a private-room total depends on dates and availability and is confirmed in the quote.
Is Agadir airport pickup included?
No. Agadir Al Massira airport pickup is optional and separately quoted. Allow about 30–35 minutes for the drive to Anza as a planning estimate; traffic can change it.
