The cost of a week in Taghazout has two layers: the booked package and everything outside it. For Morocco Surf Club’s published entry tier, the package starts at €360 per person for seven nights. A realistic planning total must then add flights, airport transfer, seven lunches, three dinners, insurance and personal spending—without pretending those variable costs are identical for every traveller.
A Taghazout week budget is a line-item model that separates quoted fixed costs from traveller-specific assumptions. It is not one universal average. This guide publishes three worked scenarios, shows every formula and labels each number as a first-party price, user input or planning allowance.
The model was first checked on 31 August 2026. It pairs Morocco Surf Club’s current inclusion list with a public comparison sample on our Taghazout surf camp price comparison. Before payment, the operator’s live page and your written quote always outrank this planning article.
Quick answer: three budgets before flights
The scenarios below use the same €360 Surf & Stay entry package. They are not observed guest averages. They are round planning allowances designed to show how choices alter the total. Replace each variable with a quote, receipt estimate or personal limit.
| Scenario | Camp | AGA transfer | Missing meals | Insurance | Personal / activities | Total before flights |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lean, camp-led week | €360 | €40 | €75 | €25 | €35 | €535 |
| Comfortable week | €360 | €60 | €150 | €45 | €170 | €785 |
| Private / activity-heavy week | €360 | €100 | €245 | €70 | €560 | €1,335 |
These are mathematical scenarios, not price claims about all Taghazout vendors. The transfer allowances represent a planning placeholder for the return journey, not a published Morocco Surf Club taxi quote. The food and activity numbers are self-imposed spending caps. Flights remain blank because origin and baggage dominate them.
The formula is:
Total trip = camp quote + flights + baggage + airport transfers + uncovered meals + insurance + entry/admin costs + activities + personal buffer.
If any line remains unknown, mark it “TBC” instead of zero. Zero makes an incomplete budget look complete.
Fixed layer: what the €360 entry package covers
Morocco Surf Club publishes one canonical entry offer on the surf camp pricing page. At the time of this update, €360 per person covers seven nights of accommodation near the ocean, daily breakfast, four traditional dinners, one two-hour coached surf session every day, board and wetsuit, transport to the selected surf spot and daily video-style feedback.
The group cap is five surfers per coach. That number is not a cash inclusion, but it belongs in value comparison. Two packages with the same price and different in-water group sizes can deliver different observation time. Ask whether the ratio applies in the water, per vehicle, per week or only to a premium tier.
The entry price does not cover flights, travel insurance, the Agadir airport transfer, lunches, three dinners, room upgrades, optional yoga or photography, personal taxis, souvenirs or tips unless the written quote adds them. A package name such as “all inclusive” is not a substitute for a line-item list.
The qualifier matters: the final price depends on dates, room availability and add-ons and is confirmed in writing before deposit. A static “from” figure helps planning; the quote creates the real booking obligation.
Variable one: flights and baggage
Flights are excluded from all three totals because a useful single figure does not exist. A traveller from Paris with cabin baggage, a surfer from Montreal carrying two boards and a guest connecting through another Moroccan city are buying different products.
Record these components separately:
- Base return fare.
- Checked-bag fee each direction.
- Surfboard or oversize-sports-equipment fee each direction.
- Seat or payment fee you will actually pay.
- Overnight accommodation if the schedule requires it.
- Transport to the departure airport.
- Cost of a missed connection or an inflexible fare.
Agadir Al Massira is the airport to price for a Taghazout Bay week. Morocco’s airport authority maintains the official airport page and should be used to verify airport identity and current operational information (Office National des Aéroports). Do not confuse Agadir airport with an address in central Agadir; the final drive to Tamraght or Taghazout still needs a transfer.
Board baggage can reverse the apparent saving of a cheap ticket. Compare renting an included board with carrying your own. The package already includes equipment, so bringing a board is a preference for many guests, not a required cost. If you do bring one, confirm dimensions, weight and connection rules with every operating carrier rather than the ticket reseller alone.
Variable two: airport transfer and local movement
The camp includes surf-day transport to the chosen break, not automatically the AGA arrival transfer. That distinction prevents double counting. Your budget needs airport-to-accommodation and return-to-airport, plus only the personal journeys outside the surf programme.
The lean scenario assigns €40, comfortable €60 and activity-heavy €100 to the return airport-transfer line. These are placeholders to force the line into the model, not current taxi tariffs. Replace them with a written camp transfer quote or an agreed licensed taxi fare. Confirm total price, currency, destination, luggage and payment method before departure.
Our Agadir airport to Taghazout guide explains the arrival sequence and why a pre-booked transfer can simplify a late landing. Drive time can change with traffic and road work. Budget time as well as cash; the cheapest option is not useful if it relies on an unrealistic connection.
Local movement outside camp depends on base. Tamraght, Taghazout village and Anza have different walkability and taxi needs. If evening cafés matter, a room with a higher upfront price in the preferred village could reduce repeated personal transport. Compare the week, not one ride.
Variable three: the meals the package does not cover
Seven breakfasts and four dinners are included, which leaves seven lunches and three dinners for a standard seven-night scenario. Arrival and departure times can change the exact count, so write the meals as quantities before assigning money.
The three example allowances are:
| Scenario | 7 lunches | 3 dinners | Drinks/snacks | Meal allowance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lean | €42 | €24 | €9 | €75 |
| Comfortable | €70 | €60 | €20 | €150 |
| Activity-heavy | €105 | €90 | €50 | €245 |
Again, these are spending caps chosen for the model, not a survey of restaurant prices. The calculation is transparent: lean assumes €6 per lunch, €8 per dinner and €9 total for extras; comfortable uses €10, €20 and €20; activity-heavy uses €15, €30 and €50.
This form is more reusable than stating “food costs €X in Morocco.” A guest who eats locally, a guest with dietary restrictions and a guest choosing rooftop restaurants will not share one number. Replace the unit cost while preserving the meal count.
Also ask whether drinking water, tea, coffee and beach lunch are part of the quoted package. Do not infer them from “meals included.” If a dietary need changes ingredients or requires a separate kitchen, discuss it before paying rather than budget for improvisation after arrival.
Variable four: insurance, entry rules and health preparation
The model assigns €25, €45 and €70 to insurance only as placeholders. Real travel-insurance prices depend on residence, age, trip value, medical history, activities, excess and coverage. Confirm explicitly that recreational surfing is covered and understand exclusions for competition, high-risk conditions, rescue, equipment and pre-existing conditions.
Entry costs should be verified for the traveller’s passport and trip length. The UK government’s Morocco entry page is a suitable reference for British travellers, but it does not apply to every nationality. It advises checking passport and entry requirements before travel and can change over time (UK Government). Use the official authority relevant to your citizenship.
Health preparation is not a shopping list. Personal medication, sun protection, hydration, suitable swimwear and layers may already be owned. Add only what you need to buy. If a medical condition could affect open-water activity, seek appropriate professional advice and disclose relevant constraints to the operator.
Insurance is a risk-transfer decision, not an optional activity fund. Keep it separate from the personal-spending line so removing souvenirs cannot accidentally remove medical or cancellation coverage.
Variable five: activities and personal buffer
The lean scenario assigns €35 to personal spending, comfortable €170 and activity-heavy €560. These caps cover very different trip styles. A camp-led week may need only small snacks, laundry and tips. A comfortable week may include cafés, a hammam, one excursion and modest shopping. An activity-heavy week may add private wellness, photography, multiple tours, upgraded dining and room-related costs.
Do not bundle every unknown into “spending money.” Break it down:
- Optional activities already planned.
- Personal taxis outside the programme.
- Laundry and connectivity.
- Tips.
- Souvenirs.
- Emergency buffer.
- Room supplement if not already in the camp quote.
An emergency buffer is not a target to spend. Keep it accessible, and do not treat a credit limit as insurance. The appropriate size depends on payment access, coverage and personal risk tolerance.
For ideas between sessions, use things to do in Taghazout, then request current provider prices. Avoid filling recovery time with paid activities just because the budget exists; fatigue can reduce the value and safety of the next surf session.
Currency: keep one base, date every conversion
The package is quoted in euros, while many local purchases are paid in Moroccan dirhams. A planning sheet should keep one base currency and store the exchange rate with a date. Otherwise, some rows in euros and others in dirhams create a total that cannot be audited.
Bank Al-Maghrib publishes official foreign-exchange reference information (Bank Al-Maghrib). Your bank, card network, cash bureau or ATM can apply a different customer rate and fees. Record the rate you will actually receive for a payment when possible.
Use columns for original amount, original currency, conversion rate, converted amount and fee. If a provider offers dynamic currency conversion, compare it with paying in the local currency through your own card rather than assuming convenience is cheaper.
Cash availability and card acceptance vary by purchase. Confirm larger payments and carry practical local currency for smaller transactions without exposing the entire trip budget at once.
How public camp prices change the context
Our ten-offer comparison checked public entry prices from €360 to €760 on 31 August 2026. For context, Solid Surf House advertised a shared-room tier from €549 per person per week with its combined package, while Hashpoint published surf-school packages from €665 per week in triple/quad accommodation and disclosed extra charges including board insurance and some room supplements (Solid Surf House, Hashpoint Surf Camp).
Those figures do not prove quality or equivalent value. They show why a traveller needs fields, not a sorted price list. One operator may include airport transfer and full board; another may publish a smaller group; another may use a private room or yoga package. Missing disclosures should be marked “not found,” never filled with assumptions.
The comparison page links every source and labels guiding-only, group-dependent and surf-plus-yoga tiers. Use it to create a shortlist, then rebuild the total from the live quote.
The pre-payment budget audit
Before paying, make every row either quoted, personally calculated or explicitly unknown:
- Exact dates and seven-night occupancy.
- Package name and room type.
- Coached days, session length and maximum group.
- Board, wetsuit and surf transport.
- Number of breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
- AGA arrival and departure transfers.
- Taxes, deposits, payment fees and supplements.
- Cancellation and change terms.
- Flight, baggage and surfboard carriage.
- Insurance and entry requirements.
- Activities and personal buffer.
- Exchange-rate date and conversion fees.
Then calculate three totals: committed, expected and maximum. “Committed” contains purchases already paid or contractually due. “Expected” adds realistic variable spending. “Maximum” adds known optional choices and contingency without assuming every emergency happens.
This method prevents two common errors: comparing a dorm price with a private-room total, and treating omitted lines as free. It also makes the budget easy to update when a quote changes.
Download the logic, not the example number
The important result is not €535, €785 or €1,335. It is the separation between facts and assumptions. Keep the €360 package price only while it remains current, replace every placeholder with your own quote, and enter flights from your actual origin.
For a written Morocco Surf Club quote, use the surf camp booking section. For location trade-offs, read surf camp Taghazout. A credible budget should become more precise as the trip approaches—and preserve “unknown” wherever evidence is still missing.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a week in Taghazout cost?
For the fixed Morocco Surf Club entry package, start with €360 per person for seven nights, then add flights, airport transfer, seven lunches, three dinners, insurance and personal spending. This article’s worked planning scenarios total €535, €785 and €1,335 before flights, but they are assumptions—not quoted market averages or promises.
What is included in the Morocco Surf Club €360 price?
The published Surf & Stay entry tier includes seven nights of accommodation, seven breakfasts, four traditional dinners, a two-hour coached session each day, board, wetsuit, surf-day transport and daily video-style feedback. Flights, airport transfer, lunches, three dinners, insurance, upgrades and optional activities remain outside unless the written quote says otherwise.
Why are flights excluded from the worked totals?
Airfares vary sharply by origin, dates, baggage, booking time and airline. Inserting one flight number would create false precision. The model keeps flights as a user-supplied line item and reminds surfers to price board baggage, airport transport and schedule risk alongside the ticket rather than copying an unrelated traveller’s fare.
Should I bring euros or Moroccan dirhams to Taghazout?
Use the currency and payment method confirmed by each provider. Keep a planning sheet in one base currency, then update conversions using a dated rate from Bank Al-Maghrib or your actual card provider. Carrying some Moroccan dirhams is practical for smaller purchases, but check card acceptance and fees rather than assuming.
How can I compare two Taghazout surf camp prices fairly?
Use the same dates, nights and room occupancy, then add required supplements, missing meals, equipment, surf transport, airport transfer, taxes, mandatory extras and payment fees. Compare coached days, hours and maximum group size as well as cost, and read cancellation terms before treating a small headline-price difference as savings.
